Pinpointcreate work within and across different artistic, media, and cultural boundaries.

Having worked alongside FIPA on the Noyes Fludde project and recognising a similarity of aims, the opportunity has come up to join in presenting another programme.

The Project:

British South Asian Theatre Memories

This is a recently collected body of 32 video interviews with theatre practioners - directors, writers and actors - who have been pivotal in the creation of diversity in contemporary British Theatre. They range from Jatinder Verma, who established the first British South East Asian Theatre Company - Tara Arts - in response to a racist killing in Southall in the late 1970's to a new generation of young artists who have emerged.

The recordings offer us rare glimpses into the worlds of these individuals as they recount their personal recollections in a series of accessible unedited videos.
An exhibition of 8 x 10 photos and 2 pop up banners will tour to different venues to promote this heritage resource.

CPD sessions for teachers will offer an overview of the project, a showing of interviews and discussion session on the role of South Asian artists in modern British Society and the impact on education.
These will be after school sessions and are ideally suited to a group of teachers to provoke sharing and discussion.
Available from 3rd March until 24th March 2014.
Sessions will be facilitated by Pinpointcreate on behalf of FIPA.
